It’s time once again for Feminine Friday over at Buildeth Her House. This is what I wore today.
The denim jumper is another garage sale find, I think I paid $2 for it and the red polo shirt was also purchased at at a garage sale for I *think* $0.50. As is usual for me on Friday, I’m wearing my white, leather walking shoes because I’ll be doing a lot of walking and running around in the car and at the stores. I decided to put my hair in braids because we’ve been having a lot of rain and if the sun does come out today, it’s going to be HOT and HUMID! I topped off the outfit with a white bandanna. This is a super comfortable outfit because the jumper is so loose, perfect for a day like today!

I recently bought some microfiber cloths at the dollar store, I got 3 for $2. I had been told that these would fit on the Swifter and sure enough they did. I picked up several more packages and use them on all my solid surface floors. They work GREAT! Plus I don’t have to buy the little toss-away ones made for the Swifter, which saves me money and helps out the environment. I use them dry for dusting the floors and dampened with water for cleaning. For extra cleaning I use a bit of hydrogen peroxide and they are working great! When you’re done, just toss them in the washer and they’re ready for your next use! Since my whole house has solid surface floors, this saves me money because I can keep reusing them. I’ve found this method keeps my floors much cleaner than using just a broom and a regular mop. You can also knit or crochet replacement covers. There are a bunch of links on THIS page.
